Facility Rental

Here is a few FAQ's to answer the most common and frequently asked questions.

Facility Rental FAQ’s


How many people does the venue hold? 

  • It can hold 100 comfortably with tables and chairs. 150 max if it is a standing room only.

Are tables and chairs included in the rental?

  • Yes, there are eight (10) 6-ft Tables and eight (8) 36x36 Square Tables, and 90 Chairs.  Chairs are mixed matched and will thereby need to be covered.  We do have black and blue spandex covers available for rental, as well as black spandex table covers.  We DO NOT have round tables.


Is there a cleaning fee?

  • Yes, there is a $125 cleaning fee. 50% of the cleaning deposit is refundable IF facility is cleaned and renter and guests has exited the facility on time.  

  • All renters are required to leave the facility as they found it, remove all trash and make sure that all items are moved immediately after the close of your event.  

  • Refunds are given 3-5 business days after the event.


Is there a deposit needed? 

  • Yes, there is a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $200 for all rentals. 

    • If the rental is less than $400, the entire balance would be needed to secure the date - unless an agreement is made with management.

    • This deposit is included in the total cost of the rental.


How can I book the space?

  • Completing the online booking request is the first step to booking the space. 

I would also need time to set up and take down. Is that included in the cost?  

  • The setup and breakdown time should be included within the hours reserved. Parties should allocate reasonable set up and break down time and include that in the time of rental requested. 

  • A discount for long set up times may be available, on a case by case basis.

Do you have a kitchen?

  • No.  Currently, kitchen or refrigeration options are not available.  

Can my decorator come in early to drop off items?

  • There is no holding, dropping off or picking up of items outside of the renters scheduled time allotted.


Can I serve alcohol?

  • While it is not preferred, we will allow for events to serve alcohol if approved by management and the following has been completed at least 2 weeks prior to the event.

    • An additional fee of $250.00.
    • Proof of event insurance, $1,000,000, in the name of Walking on Water Performing Arts Center.

    • 2 Security Officers from the Richland County Sheriff's Department. (additional fees will be passed onto the renter.) 

  • Pay the additional alcohol and bartending permit from Richland County


What is the rate to rent?

  • Rates vary depending on event being held.

    • Rehearsals​: $50 per hour (2 hour minimum)

    • Events: Monday - Thursday: $100 per hour

    • Events: Friday - Sunday: $125 per hour

    • Cleaning Fee: $125

    • Deposit: $200 or 50% of rental whichever is least.
